faq
Who owns the copyright of the images?
All image copyrights belong to Can Sengunes LBPPA (the photographer), Couples who hire me for weddings will get high resolution
copies of the digital images on master DVD-R (can be printed to virtually any size) and can use this to print an unlimited amount of photos for non-
commercial purposes. Commercial use includes public exhibition (except at home) websites or printed media including magazines and books.
Do you do formal or posed shots?
Ofcourse ! The trick is to get them to look relaxed and spontaneous. People hire me for my photojournalistic abilities so group shots
will be kept to a minimum unless otherwise requested.
How far will you travel for the initial meeting?
Anywhere in England. Also nationally ( UK ) and internationally subject to travel expenses.
Are you available for portrait sessions or any other type of work?
I sure am ! Here are just some of the the projects I like to get involved in: Portraits, Travel, Reportage, Photojournalism, Documentary,
Advertising, Commercial, Industrial, Magazine, Portfolio, Album & Book Covers, Social Documentary. For a creative aproach to any type of
photography...
Do you use Film or Digital?
The type of equipment changes for each type of assignment but for weddings I mainly use professional Canon digital cameras and lenses,
Capture One Pro to process the Raw files and Adobe Photoshop CS3 to finish. The end result should be more important to you that how it is achieved.
Why do prices vary so much between photographers?
Unfortunately its true that you only get what you pay for. If you were offered a Ferrari for a couple of hundred pounds would you
not suspect that something was seriously wrong? Dont forget the photographs are the only permanent record of the day so
make sure you invest wisely. I am also fully insured, including public liability, worldwide.
Ask yourself ( or your photographer ! ) these questions:
Will you be given full resolution Images on DVD and not just low quality slideshows?
If not then will you able to get prints in ten or more years time, will your photographer still be around?
Will you be given 100% of his attention and totally unlimited time on your day?
Will your photographer be able to produce original and striking images or will he/she just shoot the usual 'safe' shots?
Is he/she a genuine documentary photographer or a high street photographer who 'does documentary style'
Are you getting a bargain or risking false economy with the most important part of your wedding...your memories
What Qualifications do you have?
I am mainly self taught from the age of 15. Then at 18 I enrolled at the City of Westminster College in London for 2 years and qualified with
a BTEC National Diploma in Photography, my image was purchased for the Westminster College archives. After this I aquired many years of freelance experience in different mediums of photography
including editorial, press and portraiture. I am also a Licentiate of The British Professional Photographers
Associates & The Society Of Wedding and Portrait Photographers.
The final Presentation in some packages is in a GraphiStudio Album, What is that?
You will be shown a sample at our meeting. GraphiStudio are the best bespoke album in the world,
manufactured in Italy to the highest standard and is more like a coffee table book than an album. We also offer a wide range of alternative albums.
